Hope24 Endurance Event - new principal team supporter!
Hope24 Endurance Event, new principal team financial supporter
Following the culmination of the financial element of our mutually very successful partnership with Plymouth University, DSRTP have now secured a new principal financial supporter and team partner for the foreseeable future in the fabulous local Hope24 event.
The principal event is an annual 24 hour endurance challenge, open to individuals or teams seeking to run as far as possible in 24 hours around a 5 mile course in the countryside outside Plympton. The increasingly popular event now attracts almost 1,000 participants from all over the country. In addition to this epic challenge, there is also family options of 2.4 miles or 2.4km, as well as a slightly less arduous 5 mile 1 / lap option.
Many challengers choose to raise money for charity, DSRTP are one of the chosen charities to benefit from 50% of all charity money raised, sharing the total with the wonderful “Hope for Children” charity.
DSRTP personnel will be on hand during the event, taking place in May every year, to offer support with marshaling on the course and car park, and to have team personnel available to assist should there be a serious issue relating to first aid requirement.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the teams at Plymouth University for their immense support in numerous ways over recent years. In particular, this support has been instrumental in enabling the team to purchase the new rescue Centre, also in publishing the very popular walking books, and just recently, in the Crowdfunding and purchase of the new life-saving heated blanket! We look forward to ongoing collaboration with the University, which won’t involve direct financial support but which we believe will continue to be mutually beneficial and positive.
